Stonehenge

It is a megalithic monument* composed of a set of circular structures built between -2800 and -1100 in three phases (Neolithic, Chalcolithic and Bronze Age). It is located in the north of Salisbury and in the west of Amesbury in the UK. It is inscribed on the World Heritage List of Unesco.
Originally, it was a circular enclosure bounded by a raised earth and a small ditch outside with the center 56 holes called "Holes Aubrey".
Stonehenge puts an end to the myth of a temple erected by "savages".
The message of megalithic stones and noiseless but it tells us something immaterial; a strange impression that speaks to our souls and encourages us to think. The alignment of it is in the direction of the sunrise.

This monument is known because many legends are told about it.

Here is one of them: "The legend of the Devil".

The stones would have been in Ireland under the care of a woman watch. The Devil would have come to him with a bargain that she would get as much money as she wanted while loading the stones on her back.
The old woman accepted the market. The Devil brought her a pile of gold coins which she would buy while he took care of the stones.
But the Devil being fast, he had time to load all the stones on his back before she could take a coin.
At midnight, he laid the last stone with the following words: "No one will ever know how these stones came here or where they came from." Unfortunately, a monk surprised the Devil, he dissatisfied threw him a stone that hit him only his heel.
As a result, this stone is called "Heel Stone" which means heel stone. There is also the "Slaughter Stone" meaning the stones of sacrifices.
Nowadays, we still do not know where they came from or how they were transported.
